Terms of Use

The rules for using devforgio.com, in as little legalese as we could manage.

Last updated: 20 July 2026

These terms govern your use of devforgio.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

1. What this site is

DevForgio provides free browser-based developer utilities and written articles explaining how they work. Everything here is general technical information. It is not professional advice, and using this site does not create a professional or advisory relationship of any kind.

The important one. These are convenience utilities. Verify any output before it goes into production, a configuration file, a migration, or anything with consequences. A subnet plan, an encoded payload or a generated slug that is almost right can be worse than one that is obviously wrong. Please read the full disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

2. Accuracy and no warranty

We take care to implement each tool correctly, handle edge cases properly, and describe specifications accurately. Even so, the site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, nor that any output will be correct or appropriate for your use. Specifications are revised, browser behaviour differs, and a tool that is correct for one input may not be for another.

3. No security guarantee

Nothing on this site should be relied on as a security control. Base64 is an encoding, not encryption, and provides no confidentiality whatsoever. We make no representation that any output is secure, private or suitable for protecting sensitive information. Do not use any tool here as part of a security mechanism.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DevForgio, its operators and contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site — including without limitation data loss, corrupted output, misconfigured networks, security incidents, downtime, or any loss resulting from reliance on a tool's output or an article's contents.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow it to be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

5. Acceptable use

You may use this site freely for personal and commercial development work. You must not:

6. Intellectual property

The written content, layout, design and the DevForgio name are owned by or licensed to us and protected by copyright. The underlying algorithms — Base64 encoding, epoch arithmetic, positional notation, CIDR subnetting — are public technical knowledge defined in published standards and belong to nobody; implement them however you wish.

You may quote a short extract of our writing for commentary, criticism, review or educational purposes provided you attribute it and link to the source page. Anything more requires written permission — ask through the contact form.

7. Content you submit

If you send us a message, suggestion or bug report, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it for operating and improving the site. You confirm that what you send is yours to send. Please do not send credentials, production data, client information or anything confidential through the contact form.

8. Advertising and third-party content

This site displays third-party advertising. We do not control, endorse or take responsibility for the content of any advertisement or any product or service advertised. Any dealings you have with an advertiser are strictly between you and them. Links to external sites and specifications are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.

9. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend, restrict or discontinue any part of the site at any time without notice, including removing or changing tools and articles. We are not liable for any unavailability.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here with the date at the top is the one in force. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing law and severability

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the site is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect and the unenforceable provision is interpreted to reflect its original intent as closely as the law allows.

12. Entire agreement

These terms, together with the privacy policy and the disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and DevForgio regarding your use of this site.

13. Contact
